Guy Butler
Construction Director

 Guy is 47 and has been in construction all his life. After initial training Guy spent 14 years with a London-based medium-sized contractor, and for the last four years was Operations Director for the London, West Country and Southern Operations.

 Guy started Total Construction just over ten years ago with Neil and is happiest when out on site in the middle of all the activity doing what he is best at – building. Guy is driven by client retention and the need for Total to perform beyond client expectations. Guy needs to understand how the operations within each project all fit together and how components and systems work and always wants to know the detail.

Guy is well liked by the operatives on site. He always has time for those carrying out the work and talks to them to ensure they always have what they need to complete their works safely and to the right level of quality.

Neil Baker
Commercial Director

Neil is 49 and before starting Total with Guy they worked together for the previous 12 years, finishing in the role of Chief Surveyor. Before this Neil experienced working with many contractors but enjoys the hands-on approach and the involvement he gets at Total.

Neil ensures all the commercial processes run like clockwork inside Total and that clients and design teams are always kept aware of projected final accounts, and that suppliers and subcontractors are always paid.

In addition, Neil likes and understands the detail of the construction process and offers energy and enthusiasm to the process of value engineering. He is accurate and thorough and makes sure the commercial operations are run efficiently, add value to the project teams, and support the construction process.

Neil is popular with everybody and enjoys the time available with Total to do a job properly.
